Our NRA Basic Pistol Course is given in a safe, relaxed, and friendly atmosphere the goal of which is to give our students a thorough understanding of the fundamentals of shooting and core firearms safety skills. We also verify your familiarization with the your handgun of choice if you own one, along with the necessary skills to properly handle, shoot, transport, store, and clean any revolver or semi-automatic pistol through practical hands on exercises.
Our approach is like no other, as we gear our courses to the new shooter that is interested in personal and home protection and encourage our students to explore concealed carry and obtaining their concealed carry permits. We include not only the proven NRA content but also include additional information on firearms laws and use of force so that you know when you can shoot and more importantly, when you can’t.
During the course we review your familiarization with the parts and operation of both revolvers and semi-automatic handguns, handgun and revolver action types, the fundamentals of shooting, core firearms safety skills and safe gun handling practices, and culminates with the NRA Basic Pistol Certification, which serves as formal proof and is the "gold standard" of firearms safety training and recognized as such around the country.
